Australia Team Squad T20 World Cup 2016

Updated on: 27-07-2017 Author: T20 Worldcup 2016

Australia is a top class team in all the formats of cricket including T20 cricket. Currently, the rank of Australia is 3rd in the ICC T20 rankings. As compared to ICC ODI world cups, the Australian team could not perform well in the previous T20 world cups. So far, they have reached the final of T20 world cup just once in 2010 ICC T20 world cup and lost the final match against England. Australia has reached the semi finals of 2007 and 2012 T20 world cups. In the previous five T20 world cups, Australian team has played total 25 matches out of which they won 14 matches and lost 11 matches and their winning percentage is 56%.

Shane Watson, Glenn Maxwell, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch, Mitchell Starc, Steven Smith, George Bailey and David Warner are few of the top players available to Australian T20 team. Australian T20 team is a beautiful blend of hard hitting batsmen, good all rounder and attacking bowlers which makes their team very strong. The current form and ranking of the Australian team shows that they can win their first T20 world cup during the upcoming T20 world cup 2016 in India.
